Proving that it isn’t afraid to innovate, Lenovo has unveiled a modular tablet with add-on accessories that change the way it functions.
The ThinkPad X1 Tablet will launch alongside a trio of accessories, including a battery pack that adds an additional five hours of runtime.
There’s also a pico projector that turns the device into a presentation tool, and a 3D scanner that uses Intel RealSense 3D camera technology to pull physical objects into the digital world for editing and 3D printing.
Powered by an Intel Core processor and Windows 10, the ThinkPad X1 is another addition to Lenovo’s two-in-one range, coming with a detachable keyboard that lets it double as a makeshift laptop.
It also includes a 12-inch IPS display with 2160 x 1440 resolution and support for a stylus, which comes bundled with the device.
Lenovo will release the tablet in February priced at $900, with the modules sold separately at $150 for the battery pack and 3D scanner, and $280 for the projector.
