We barely heard a thing about the Mac and macOS during Apple’s big iPhone-centric event on Wednesday, but it turns out that Tim Cook had something planned after all. Shortly after the event wrapped up, Apple revealed that macOS Sierra, the company’s next operating system for the Mac, will hit the Mac App Store on September 20.
Apple gave us a sneak peak of Sierra during the company’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference in June. It’s the first OS for the Mac that includes Siri, and will also bring Apple Pay to the Mac. We’re also excited about Optimized Storage, Picture in Picture, Tabs, and Universal Clipboard. Oh, and changes to Photos, too.
