More data is leaked from the new Core i7-8709G with AMD Vega graphics

The leaked data is about Intel’s new Core i7-8709G, which is the brand’s first processor to benefit from EMIB technology (Embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge). This processor has 4 cores and 8 process threads and is based on Intel’s Kaby Lake architecture with a manufacturing process of 14nm.

Within the same encapsulation we find another “die”, curiously more extensive, consisting of an AMD Vega graphics processor with 4GB of HBM2 memory at 800MHz and a 1024-Bit bus that develops 200GBps of bandwidth.

Both are connected by a PCI Express 3.0 bridge between GPU and CPU. From the video data we know that the processor works at frequencies between 3.1 and 3.9GHz and that the graphics are around a frequency of 1GHz.

It is expected that this processor will be integrated into compact and portable systems at the beginning of 2018 and surely we can already see some machine with this new generation of processors with dedicated graphics at the CES of Las Vegas that is celebrated at the beginning of the year.
